We coordinated the entry mechanic and Grand Prize for a Gran Turismo 7 simulator competition.
POLESTAR
The Brief
Polestar were planning to install Gran Turismo 7 simulators in four of their Polestar Spaces retail locations, to celebrate the Polestar 5 being featured in the game. We were tasked with creating a ‘fastest lap’ competition for participants, including a simple online entry mechanic, a real-time leaderboard display, and a premium Grand Prize!
The Solution
We created an online form for Polestar Spaces staff to fill out on participants’ behalf, including their name, contact details and lap time, along with a photograph of their lap time as proof of participation.
This entry form linked via API to dynamic online leaderboards which we built for display in each participating location. These leaderboards updated in real time, showing the top ten lap times in that location and across the country, and were displayed on tablets next to the simulators.
The fastest lap driver from each store was invited to a Live Final event at Battersea, where these four finalists competed head-to-head for the Grand Prize!
We handled travel, accommodation and dinner bookings for the four finalists, as well as creating a Grand Prize for the lucky winner: a tailormade five-day road trip around Sweden in a stylish Polestar car!
